Services & Fees

Daytime appointments are available in a comfortable character office space in the Wolseley area of Winnipeg. To request an appointment, call (204) 297-4139. Voice mail is confidential.

Fees

Sessions are generally 60 minutes long.  The fee is $85 per session. However, Arlene’s desire is to provide affordable counselling, and she will take into account your ability to pay.

Manitoba Health does not cover counselling services. However, some workplace extended health benefits plans may provide coverage. Check with your provider to find out the counsellor qualifications required in order for coverage to be approved.

What to expect at your first session

Your first session will give you and Arlene an opportunity to get to know each other. You will spend the first few minutes during the first session filling out a form. This information is a valuable part of your process because it helps Arlene understand your story. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions about therapy or your service agreement.

This initial session is an important time in the counselling relationship; one in which you build trust and understanding. Arlene will ask you a few questions to gain further insight into your personal experience and to understand your expectations for counselling.

How long will counselling take?

This depends largely on the issues you want to address. Change takes time. Arlene should be able to give you an idea of duration once you’ve discussed your counselling needs and expectations with her.
